Production Design
Production design may not always be glamorous, but when executed well it can save significant time and effort for the entire creative team. In this section, I highlight some of the processes and systems I’ve implemented in previous roles to help teams work efficiently and maintain high-quality outputs.
File and Asset Organisation
I have established organized libraries of images, logos, colours, and fonts in all relevant file formats, making assets easily accessible and shareable across teams. This reduces time spent hunting for files and ensures consistency across all projects.
Figma to Email Client
By implementing email templates in Figma, teams can review, test, and approve designs in a single platform before building them in an email client. This streamlines feedback, reduces back-and-forth, and allows issues to be identified early, resulting in templates that are ready for use with minimal revisions.
Packaging and Print Materials
I maintain clear file headers with version control and detailed change notes. For complex packaging projects with 30+ versions due to legal requirements or ingredient updates, this system ensures all changes are tracked, reducing errors and keeping projects on schedule.
Figma and Adobe Libraries
I have set up library files for print and digital assets, including logos, colours, templates, rules, and other design elements. Centralized libraries save time, ensure consistency, and allow teams to work more efficiently across multiple projects
Website Management
Working closely with site managers, I have helped keep websites up to date with campaigns, offers, and blog content. This includes optimising images without sacrificing quality and ensuring SEO best practices are followed, so sites remain fast, functional, and visually appealing.
Template Files
I develop robust template systems to support efficient and consistent production across projects. This includes creating standardised, production-ready templates that account for legal, regulatory, and brand requirements from the outset. A key example is a comprehensive library of supplement facts panel templates, designed to ensure all packaging remains compliant with regulatory standards while significantly streamlining the production process for new products and revisions.
